Afternoon Tea at the Shangri-La is not just cakes and a cup of tea, make no mistake - enjoying an afternoon tea at Ting is an experience of a lifetime. A large selection of over 30 different fine teas, and three choices of champagne is served in theatrical elegance accompanied by the best of British classics: delicious finger sandwiches available in veg and non-veg, handcrafted desserts, cakes and warm homemade scones with strawberry jam, blackberry jam and clotted cream. The selection of cakes and sandwiches changes regularly and is inspired by seasons and special events. All treats are made with impressive attention to detail and were almost too beautiful to eat.
The beautiful seasonal treats are served spread out on an elegant étagère, one for each person. Along with the sweet and savory delicacies, Ting offers an exclusive selection of loose leaf teas, including a variety of Shangri-La signature teas such as the Welcome Tea, a fragrant lemon infused tea. This special is served on a bamboo tray filled with dry ice. It is presented in a captivating way when hot water is poured onto the tray and swirling ice fog would dance over the polished tables with a great dramatic effect.
While sitting comfortably on low loungers and soft sofas and enjoying every bite, an afternoon tea at Ting is is enhanced by 360-degree views over the busy River Thames, London Tower, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf. Sit in awe by the panorama windows and look out from the soaring skyscraper - the views are impressive, as the outer walls are made almost entirely of glass. There really is nothing else quite like it in London. Afternoon tea regulars who believe nothing can surprise them will be proven wrong here. A wonderful experience all together.

How to get to the Afternoon Tea at “Ting” Shangri-La The Shard:
The nearest station is London Bridge – Northern and Jubilee Lines, take the exit towards the Shard and take the entrance through the revolving doors into the hotel’s lobby. The friendly staff there will assist you to take the lift to the 35th floor.
